Okay, honest opinions...Mamma Mia the movie..
Mamma Mia...the worst movie EVER????
Or is it just me? I turned it off after 30 minutes. Come on Mamma Mia haters, tell me I'm not alone..please. anyone...tumbleweeds...
Maybe I just take Abba too seriously cos I lurve them.

I didn't see it because I thought watching the movie would lower my opions of Amanda Seyfried who I adore on Big Love, but I can be one of those annoying people that trash something without knowing anything about it! .

I couldn't get through watching it on a cruise even with only a couple of channels.
Someone bought it for me on DVD for Christmas because I liked the broadway show.
It's still unopened collecting dust.

I thought it was horrible. DH bought it for me for the holidays because I love musicals but this one we just laughed at. I know musicals are supposed to be a little cheesy but this was just over the top. Oh and pierce brosnan (sp?) should stick to playing 007, he may be cute but what a horrible singer!

I was really disappointed by it. I've wanted to see it on Broadway for a long time so I really wanted to enjoy the movie, but it really wasn't very good at all.

I agree! When he started singing, I honestly started to laugh out loud. I told DH that I was surprised they let him sing with that voice!

Ok i have to say, I Loved the movie... I never saw the play, But Meryl streep and Pierce bronsnan was good, I admit his singing is not great, But the movie i can watch over and over again..

I hated that movie.
I saw it in the theater, and 2 minutes into it, I was tempted to get up & walk out it was so bad.... but figured I paid for it so I was going to stay...
It only got worse!
AWFUL!!!!!!!!

Obviously quite a few didn't like it. I watched it with DW. She seemed to like it. We saw the show about two years prior to the movie.
I guess she's the only one to say "ABBA dabba doo!" so far!

So did I, my dh and kids--
I saw it 3x's in the theater, kids saw it 5x's and we bought the movie and have watched it a couple of times.
We LOVE musicals though and I know many people don't and don't like the movie.
I thought it was cute :)

Well...let me say...I LOVE ABBA! I mean, LOVE them! Therefore, I was sooooo excited to see this movie, especially after hearing how good it was. Well...it sucked. It did not do justice to the institution known as ABBA. I liked the premise, the location, etc, but HATED the cast. They just did NOT do ABBA justice.
You know how with Across the Universe, they made each legendary Beatles song their own? Not here.

I HATED IT. It was freaking awful!!!!
ETA: I love musicals and I am usually more forgiving when it is a Hollywood remake of a Broadway show. But this one suckedd big time. Pierce Brosnan was awful, the acting was bad, it was over the top in cheese. Uggh.
The Broadway play was SO awesome!!

DH and I were forced to watch it while on the plane. He wanted to jump w/o a parachute! LOL! It was bad.
I didn't really watch it - after the first few minutes of cheestasticness I put on my Ipod and listened to that!
