ok..please help solve a minor dilemma between dh and i..
ok..my sil is having a baby shower in july..she mentioned that she would love someone to sew her a blanket but knew of no one..so my mil and i decided to take a quilt class and make her quilts for her twin  &  as a surprise..now dh thinks we should give it to her before the shower because she would be too overwhelmed with even noticing how much effort his mom and i put into it..i think the opposite..i think she will be surprised and if too overwhelmed she still will appreciate it more when she got home..i just think it would be cute to see her open it in front of everyone..what do you girls think? thanks

Definitley open it in front of everyone!!!! She will love it at the shower obviously but when she gets home and calms down she will really appreciate it!

I see your DH's poiint-- but it's not like she is going to open it at the shower and never lay eyes on it again. I think she will be surprised too when opening it in front of everyone. I mean- it's really about how you and your MIL want to present her with the gift-- that's most important.
