Old clothes with tags?

What does everyone do with ther DC's old clothes with the tags on them. I tried the ebay thing and it is just too time consuming for me.
Any ideas? What do you all do with them? I am in Nassau.
TIA

Re: Old clothes with tags?

I just gave a bunch of them away to a friend who is about to have a girl.

If we knew where they came from we returned them to the store, otherwise we gave away (I don't believe in regifting those because I can't stand getting things I can't return so why would I do that to someone else!)

Thats the problem! I don't know where any of those things came from, so I can't return them. My SIL is having a boy but she doesn't want any clothes from other people! Even ones with tags from her nephew! But, I wouldn't regift them especially with the store tags!

But, I hate to just throw them in a bin and no know if anyone who needs them will really get them.

You can sell them at Once Upon A Child.

Where is there one? (Nassau) I have heard about them but never been. Will they take clothes with and without tags? I have a few things he never wore but they don't have tags on them.
About how much do they give you for things?
Thanks!

Website There is one in Seaford, not sure if there are any others on Long Island. For clothes 0-24 mos they require tags, older - no tags required. I'm not really sure how it works with how much they give you back, but it wouldn't hurt to check it out.

Re: Old clothes with tags?

I go there a lot - I spend more than I bring in Chat Icon but I have sold some stuff there and you don't end up getting all that much. I'm pretty sure what they will pay is based on the brand and if they need it. But it's better than nothing if you were just going to put them in a bin. I find it so odd that your SIL is so opposed to clothes from someone else even new stuff. It's beside the point of your thread but why is she so against it?

There is a baby consignment show coming up. Donna posted about it recently. I'll see if I can find the details.

Re: Old clothes with tags?

I either exchange them if I know where they came from or just give them away.
