OMG, Glamour Shots and my experience! (long)
WHY oh WHY didnt I come on here and get some 411 on this place..I dont know!
I got some coupon offer, booked online and even called RF store to get some info and was totally MISLED about the package prices.
I get there, they start me up, hair, makeup and DH takes DD in for shots. I also had 3 outfits for her, a xmas one, a dress and then her casual outfit for our family shot.
After 2hrs of changing, making DD laugh, trying to calm her down, sweating.....we sit down for proofs and OMG, I loved so many of them. We pick out 10-15 of them and she starts to write down #'s, DH and I look at each other as we see her write, $1900!!!! 
We are like W T F???
I tell her that I booked online, called store and a rep stated, pkgs start at $40...I was totally misled.
unfortunately she tells me the online bookings, a rep is suppose to call and EXPLAIN the way it works and ALL PRICING....which didnt happen!
And that the rep from store was totally wrong and that NO pkg's even start at that price.
Im pratically in tears at this point. She works up some smaller pkg..we pick our fav (yet there were so many) and got down to $500.
We ask her to give us a min as we discuss it and we give in. Im in tears now...because I was so embarassed and just BLOWN away from what I was about to do.
We leave.
We get in car, I call my sis...She tells me Im friggin crazy.....tells me to cancel my order!
DH is like, WHY did we do this, this is bizarre!
Im calling to cancel the charge now!
We were able to cancel the order and she actually just gave me a free 8x10 photo..a family shot and remibursed me for the entire amt.
All I can say is that I totally LEARNED from this experience.
I was royally pi$$ed off and dissappointed. I put my DD through 2hrs of tortured wardrobe changes....our time and almost our hard earned money!
There was about 2 portraits/shots that were so awesome that I LOVED so much but refuse to give them a cent...esp when one 8x10 is $135!
Just a piece of advice is please search everything, ask questions....so you KNOW what you are getting into.

You could go to KK or sears 5-8 times for just the $500!! Think of all the pictures you'll be able to get of her in the future since you canceled your order, instead of feeling guilty about spending the money!

OMG $1900 are they crazy!!??? I am sorry you had to deal with them misleading you like this. Im glad you got your $$ back. and ...thanks for the heads up on this place...we will stay away!

I had a horrific experience with them too way way way back. I would have told you to RUN AWAY.
At least you got the 8x10!

I had a super similar experience with GS when DS was 7 months old. Only my price was $5000, they tell you to pick pictures, then they add the glamourize, the pearlsheen paper and all the other bells and whistles without even asking you. After over 2 hours arguing with the salesguy I left with the free package I was offered. Never again will I go there.
Can I ask you,when you were looking at the pics were there other sales/photographers/receptionist behind you saying "oh thats a great pic, you have to get that pic" etc.
they are so high pressure
actually each sheet of pictures is $40 base (no touchups etc)

That's insane !!!
I think I would have laughed in their face, scooped up DC's and walked out, considering my entire wedding photo package was $4K with video, engagement shoot, albums and lots of prints.
Definitely cancel the charge.
Sorry you had to go through that.

Yep, 1 page is $40, but I will bet you any money they will tell you, we dont have your proofs anymore......should call them SHADY SHOTS

I wish you did do a post asking about them, my sister when to them and they told her the same BS story on the phone, when they all got there they were all dressed up and ready to go, thankgod they went over the prices with them first and wanted the same amount from them that they charged you, my sister was sooooo P!SSED OFF! They left with nothing! I would never use them.

OMG $1,900 I am in absolute shcok, are their people out there that would pay that!!!
Sorry you had such a bad experience, it suck cause you loved the pics so much, its hard not to give in, which is what they count on.

I am so sorry this happened to you Deb. I know you feel like it was a total waste of time. Maybe you can try like KK or Sears or something which will have better package prices and you wont have to go through the wadrobe changes.
