OMG I am so embarrassed and feel like such and idiot!
DH & I went to a wedding yesterday.
And this morning I was switching my pocketbook back to my everyday bag. And what do I find in my bag that I used for the wedding.
The CHECK for the bride and groom. I gave them an empty card

sounds like something i would do.
i once walked around with my rent check... and then wondered why my bank account looked funny. thank goodness i didn't spend the "extra" money.

oh man! sounds like something i would do! i would just call them and let them know, or even just put it in the mail with a nice apology note.
this happened at our wedding- my moms friend had gotten back from the vacation the morning of the wedding, they were jet lagged... and we realized later that we never got a card or gift from them. didn't make a big deal out of it.
this was in june. 6 months later, they sent us a christmas card with a check and an apology note, explaining that they had just forgotten to give us the check LOL better late than never- it was a nice christmas "bonus"

Dh's grandfather forget our card completely, and he was so upset, but he mailed it that Monday & we had it when we got back form our HM, which is when we got all the other cards from my mom (who collected them after the reception) anyway.

I wouldn't call them - just mail the check in another card to them. You have plenty of time after a wedding to give a gift. I don't think you have any reason to be embarassed.

I did that once! But I didn't find it until almost 2 weeks later!!!!!!!! I was so embarrassed.. but they hadn't even NOTICED that I didn't send it because they'd been on their honeymoon!

My friend wrote the check out to himself once lol Luckily it was a family member so they just called him and laughed.

When we got married one of my good friends left her card at home.. we didn't care, we were just happy they had a good time at our wedding.. She ended up mailing us the card!! It was no big deal!!!
