OMG please tell me how to fix her sleeping now that the clocks got changed :( BTDT moms advice?

We had a lot of sleep issues with Alyssa months ago. I read Dr Ferbers book and fixed everything. She went from sleeping 10 hrs a night to 12 and didnt wake up in the middle anymore...

Fast forward to switching the clocks back - - -
she is waking up an hour and a half earlier again!! We went from her sleeping till 7:00 or 7:30 to 5:30 AM!! I thought it would fix itself this morning but she woke up early again.

any advice from BTDT moms?
or moms whos DC did this last year, did it just fix itself? how long did it take?

please give me hope or some advice Chat Icon

Im afraid she is going to get over tired from loosing all of this sleep and start waking in the middle of the night again (this was the cause of middle of the night wakening months ago)

I would like to know too!! DS usually wakes up between 7:30-8 and got up at 5:30 yesterday and today!! I can't figure out why he got up 2 hours early but I know the lost sleep is going to catch up with him! Chat Icon

It could take a few days to adjust so hang in there.

What I did was I put Jake to bed about an hour later on Saturday night. He got up at the right time on Sunday (actually slept in a little!), but today he was up a little earlier than usual.

I know he'll be back on schedule by the end of the week.

And you are right, the sleep deficit will catch up with him. It will eventually help get him back on schedule.

Also, when Jake was younger, I made it a rule to never go in and get him before 6am. Even if he woke up at 5am. As long as he wasn't crying - I would not go in and get him. Many times, he would go back to sleep. That rule has since changed to 7am Chat Icon
