OMG she just tasted her own poo, what should I do?(sorry TMI)
My 16 mo old was on a potty doing #2 and she stuck her hand in there , before I had a chance to do anything her hand was in her mouth she made a face and started spitting , she didn't have any in her mouth, but she had some on her hand(and her mouth smelled) I washed her mouth .
What should I do? Is she going to get sick?
I am freaking out

 Don't worry, she's fine. I think like 1/2 of kids do it at one point. Just rinse her mouth out and wash her hands really well. At least she won't do it again.

Oh wow, that's just the most disgusting thing ever! I'm sorry, I wish I could be more supportive, but I can't lie!
Oh Lord, I'd probably brush her teeth, and have her rinse her mouth like a bajillion times. And of course toss the tooth brush!

LOL I know I think I brushed her teeth and washed her mouth so much that her face hurts my poor curious, stinky baby Can't believe she did it. She been going on a potty since she was 7 months old and all over sudden she decides to do this now .whyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Yuck! I think you have done all that you can. I'm sure lots of kids do this, I wouldn't worry too much about it-though I don't blame you!

I just called the ped office . He started laughing saying that he gets the same call at least 1-2 times a month from parents. He said she'll be fine and not to worry about it.

My dog was chomping on a log out of the potty when I turned my back. I literally vomitted and wouldn't let her go near any of us for weeks.
Strangely enough I don't think I'd freak out as much if it were my child accidently doing it. It definitely is still totally gross though.
btw... 16 months and on the potty? Good for you

Dont worry she wont get sick. Frankie made in the tub & i literally had no idea (it didnt smell or float, BLAH). Anyway, he likes to drink the tub water, UGH. Once I started to smell it I almost threw up .

Elimination Communication is the key.
Back where I come from kids are fully potty trained by the time they are 1. My mom gave me some pointers and it just happened. I started holding her over the toilet or putting her on a potty as much as I could when she was 5-6 months old and she learned very quickly . She tells me when she needs to #2 and I put her on a potty or I ask her if she needs to go few times a day and she tells me yes or no. She is still in diapers mostly for pee, but we are getting there.

read above and yes IMO I think you can start potty training at 16 mos.
Just reread....very impressive. We're going away in two weeks...I think I'm going to start trying when we get back.

The funniest thing was when I called the ped ready to cry, and he started laughing hysterically. His exact words were : "here we go again with poo eating, don't worry kids do it all the time"

Ok this made me only b/c I have a story to share about myself ( I can't believe I am sharing this  )
here goes
I was 3 and my sister was a couple of months old..... my mother put us in the crib together so she could get some cleaning done...... well she came in to check on us and she smelled pooh!! So she checked mine and my sisters diapers and nothing was in either of our diapers ....... so she looks at us and in the mom /baby voice asked " where is the poopies? I smell some poopies !!!" My mom said I looked at her and smiled and it was stuck in my teeth
When I told dh the story he didn't kiss me for a week OK I am going to go hide under a rock somewhere now
