I sometimes feel I don't spend enough time with dd outside. We have spent about 2 1/2 - 3 hours in total so far today. We may go outside again after her nap but this is pretty average for us.

It depends. Today we have a ton of mosquitos out back so not that long since they were both complaining about being bit.

I take them to play on the playground at the park, but I can't let them run around in the grass. Andy has very sensitive skin and always reacts to whatever chemicals they are putting down for bugs. We don't use any chemicals in our yard so I know it's safe for him to run around.

Hopefully they were outside with my MIL for 2 hours during the day, and then we will bring them out for about an hour to an hour and a half after dinner.

When my mom is there, they can be out from 9 - 1 if my mom feeds them on the patio.

When it's 90 degrees out like today, none. We walked to the drop DS off at camp and that was the extent of our outside time today.

None Chat Icon

We have no yard, so it's so hard to get her outside much. She is always outside at MIL's though - she has a nice yard and a swing

Yes, I feel guilty about it allll the time Chat Icon

we go out for like an hour after breakfast before the sun gets too hot.

Then another hour and a half or so after her nap at 2:30ish

sometimes we go out for a few minutes after dinner before bed if the neighbors are outside.

I am such an outside person, but I worry so much about my fair daughters skin!

I agree. DS and I didn't do anything outside except walk from the house to the car and back. On days when its not so humid I try to take a 40-60 minute walk and then play for a while in the back yard as well, then we sit on the porch and wait for daddy to come home etc. But DS is only 6 months old too!

I think 2-3 hours is great in an 8 hour day!

I had DD outside for just under 2 hours this morning and maybe 1/2 hour - 45 minutes this afternoon.

Too hot for the newborn (and for me trying to chase HannahChat Icon ) Sometimes if he'll nap inside I'll take her out in her kiddie pool when it's hot like this.

I think 2 - 3 hours a day is great. I wish I could do more, but it's too hot and I can't chase her with DS.

If I were home today, we would have been in the yard all day! He probably would have even napped in there.
