On which date should I hold DS's 1st birthday party?
His actual birthday is October 26.
Normally, I'd have the party the Saturday following, so 10/29, but with two older girls and Halloween events, etc. I'm thinking that's a bad day.
So I decided upon 10/22, but my SIL, BIL and boys can't make it and we're close with them.
I am planning an outdoor Oktoberfest type thing with tents, etc. so I would think the earlier in October the better. Plus, the actual Oktoberfest is late September until like 1st week of October.
In that case, is the 15th good? Or is that too long before his actual birthday?
So...the 15th or the 22nd? Thoughts?

I say 15th.................so your BIL and SIL can make it. I don't think it is too early before his bday. I would work around the people I really want to be there.

I'm the odd one out. In this case if you absolutely can't do the 22nd, I'd aim for the 23rd (Sunday) or just do it the 29th. At least for the first birthday, I'd try to stay as close to the actual birthday.

Go for what works for you, if that's the 15th, it's perfect! Not too early IMO.
