One swollen painful gland?
Could it be strept thraot? It is swollen and hurts for 2 days now. I have a dr. appnmt after work.

It might be.
Good that you are going to the doctor. Next time, if you have the same, you can take some anti-inflammation drugs such as Advil or Aleve to help with the swelling and the pain until you get to the doctor.

it could be strept. i know that one of my friends had it like 2x's last year she said that her gland was swollen and in a lot of pain and she had white bumps down by her throat (her mom looked with a flashlight) and it was all red. she went to teh doctor and they gave her som inflammation pills to take which helped cure it. fell better.
