Online job search question
Do you think that online job descriptions appear more difficult and complex than they really are? Is 2+ years experience in some area REALLY required, or do they just say that? I'm just trying to get a sense of whether the job has to fit 100% or not.

Re: Online job search question
2+ years experience to me means that they don't want someone entry level. Someone with some experience.

Re: Online job search question
Where I work they list "required qualifications" and "preferred qualifications." If it says a bachelor's degree is required, all resumes without that get thrown away. If it is preferred, there is some leeway. With job descriptions I think they always sound more complex than they are. My description is 5 pages long.
