OOP Cost - MaterniT21/Panorama?
Does anyone know the out of pocket cost for one of these tests? My insurance won't cover it since I'm not advanced maternal age and neither my husband or my bloodwork revealed any advanced risk for genetic/chromosomal abnormalities. I would love to find out the baby's sex ASAP -- I don't think I can wait until the 20 week anatomy scan!

I was told for MaterniT21 it would be $600 OOP. I chose not to get it because it couldn’t differentiate for twins

I spoke with a natera rep and there was a max amount that they will charge if your insurance denies it. I can't remember it off-hand. I ended up having a small ($22.50) copay and the rest was covered. You can call and ask.

If you agree to take part in a survey after the test, it's only $299. I am waiting for the survey and bill. My friend took this route and never even got the survey--just the $299 bill.
ETA: This was for MaterniT21
Link to Estimate Cost They get back to you very quickly.

I feel like they told me much less...I wouldn't have gone for it if they told me $600.

Re: OOP Cost - MaterniT21/Panorama?
My OB said they negotiated a flat fee of $350 but the cost varies. I'm still skipping it. I don't WANT to wait til 20 weeks, but what can you do?
ETA: OB also mentioned that this test is 100% accurate for down syndrome results while the NT scan at 12 weeks is 95% accurate. So 5% and the gender is not worth $350 to me.
