Opinions needed - CIO related
Okay, this might be long. This weekend I started to do CIO for naps. It seems like it worked a little bit. On Saturday I put her in the crib (I knew she was tired) and she cried for like 8 minutes before she stopped. I checked on her and she was just sucking her hand and then a few minutes later she fell asleep. She slept for like an hour and a half. Sunday my DH put her in the crib and she cried like for 12 minutes and then did the same thing, but slept for like an hour.
I usually rock her to sleep, but kind of want to stop. While I don’t mind doing it, I feel as if she will benefit more by falling asleep on her own. The last few nights while rocking her she has cried, fussed and had a bit of a temper (if that can even happen at her age). She finally quieted down and fell asleep.
So my question is….if Im going to rock her and she is going to cry anyway should I put her in the crib and just see what happens and let her CIO? Im nervous about doing CIO because she is only 4 ½ months. She fights the sleep and she gets extremely overtired and gets super super cranky.
Also, if you try CIO for naps does it help with putting her down at night?
My mom has her today and I told her that we have to be consistent with Paige and that she should put her down without rocking. Paige fell asleep today with the bottle and then woke up and my mom put her down and she cried for only like 2 minutes. I wonder if its working.
So what do you think???

It sounds like its working to me. I would just continue doing that (putting her in her crib) - I would also do it at nighttime as well, so as not to confuse her.
