Opinions on a Gift Idea Please :)
DH's brother is in the military and just bought a house with his wife in SC, they are both pretty young (19 and 21)
I was thinking we could get them a personalized doormat for their house for Christmas, no one knows his wife very well, they didn't have a wedding and we have ony met her twice, so it's hard to judge if they would like this type of gift. I know they are excited about the house and I feel like it would be a little welcome to the family thing.
This is what I was thinking
What do you think? They do have amazon lists with video games and such on them, but I like to get unique gifts.

I would get something personalized for something inside the house. Some people wouldn't like their names on the doorstep. But a fancy house number plaque would be nice. Monogrammed towels or a unique service type item you wouldn't necessarily get for yourself when setting up a new home.

I think it's very pretty, but I have serious privacy issues. I wouldn't want to advertise our last name outside our house. (I know, I'm nuts)
If you don't know her that well, maybe a GC somewhere to get something for the house would be nice? I know it's impersonal, but they might like to pick something out on their own.

My mom got a personalized doormat like that for us last year when we bought the house, we love it and use it all the time!!! I even took a pic with our shoes on top of it the day we moved in!! 
ETS: It's an indoors doormat, we have one to wipe our feet on when we first come in the door and this one that we leave our shoes on. So our name isn't outside at all!!

Thanks guys - I never even thought about pricvacy concerns ... the smae site had an indoor slate boot rack, but it's too late to order for Christmas delivery
...I'll keep looking ...
