Opinions on Charlie's 2nd bday party...
Ok, I'm planning a simple pizza and ice cream cake party for Charlie's 2nd bday and will probably get some sort of entertainment (its a backyard party and I'll have a tent & tables).
My question is, how many pizza's do I get (and what kind) for: 45 adults & 16 kids that will eat a slice?
Do you think its necesarry to get salad? How about 1 or 2 hot things like ziti or meatballs? Hero? I feel cheap just doing pizza but that would be easiest!
TIA!

I'd probably do a salad and a hero in addition that way you have more options than pizza but arent dealing with hot food. You can prob just get them from the same place as the pizza. As for the number, I'd say 10 pies I'm trying to figure it out for my DS 2nd birthday too

Re: Opinions on Charlie's 2nd bday party...
We had about 40 people (which included about 15 kids) and we ordered 8 pizzas and had plenty of leftovers. I also did my own ziti (2 boxes), meatballs in the crockpot & salad. For the types of pizzas, we got mostly cheese & pepperoni, 1 veggie, 1 meat (with sausage, meatballs, etc) & 1 grandma I believe. I will say we had a ton of salad leftover. HTH!

Def think a hero or two and a salad would be a nice mix and that way you arent buying 50 pies.
Variety is good.
Most adults will also eat two slices. The kiddies could probably get away with pie since those can be cut in halves.
So 8 pies?

If all you're doing is pizza, I'd assume 2 slices per adult, and 1 per kid. But I would probably throw in a large hero and maybe a salad as well. Do you know that everyone eats cheese? I'd probably get something that would be ok for those that can't eat cheese as well. As far as types of pies, I would do mostly plain, and few pepperoni and a few veggie

Re: Opinions on Charlie's 2nd bday party...
Dana, we just had a simple pizza party this past Saturday. For the kids: We asked them to slice the pies into 16 slices and keep the adult pies the regular 8 slices. We also added a few orders of chicken nuggets and fries for the kids to share. (Most pizza places have them.)
We made sure each adult had 2 slices and each kids got a full slice (two halves) and all the nuggets were gone! We only did cheese pies. We didn't do salad. Not sure if anybody cared.

I did a pizza party last year for my son. It was 2 weeks after I gave birth and there was no way I was going crazy. We had about 40 adults and 17 kids. We had 15 pies (some cheese, some meat, some mushrooms) and a salad. One pie was cut in half for the kids and we didn't have much left over.
