I put all her "casual" clothes (pjs, onesies etc) in drawers by sizes - a drawer for each size and then her "outfits" go in the closet also by size.

Re: Opinions re organizing nursery

In his dresser, I only have his current size organized by clothes. I keep in his dresser all his short sleeved onesies (like undershirts), long-sleeved onesies, jeans and khakis, corduroys and lined pants, sweats, pjs and a drawer for socks, robeez & hats. All of the above that were too big I kept aside in the closet. For his nice outfits on hangers, I organized them in his closet by size, and within each size by type of clothing. He is over a year-old and I am still organized like this.

I have to say, on an everyday basis its easier to dress him from his dresser rather than get clothes from the closet bc his changing table is over the dresser, so I can just grab clothes while holding him on the table.

See, this is my concern, the changing table is in the closet (it's a double wide and we took off the doors), and the changeing table doesn't have drawers, it's open shelves. The dresser is more than an arms length away.

Re: Opinions re organizing nursery

her clothes are organized in her closet by size.

then after size I just put them together by outfits/pjs.

in her drawers are everything she is "currently in".

1 small draw - what i call "junk" onsies. These don't go with any outfits.

1 small draw - long sleeve outfit onsies

1 small draw - short sleeve outfit onsies

1 draw - PJs

1 draw - pants

1 draw - tops

outfits are separated by tops/bottoms.

she also has baskets for 1) socks 2) shoes 3) accessories/pacifier holders/hats/sunglasses 4)hair stuff

The hanging clothes (dressier outfits) are arranged by size.

Everything else (onesies, pj's, day clothes) is arranged by type in drawers. When they get too small, I wash them and throw them in a box in the closet for storage.
