OPK/OPT
AF started 2/2, when should I do OPK/OPT and which should I do? I'm new to this & didn't pick the right O day last month. Trying not to miss this month.

Re: OPK/OPT
Do you know how long your cycles usually are?
b/c right now if AF started 2/2; that means you're on day 8. Usually with the OP kits there are 7-10 sticks and i think they suggest starting on day 10. but that also depends if you normally O early or late.
If you have 28 day cycles and O around day 14, i would start testing on day 10..maybe even now. If you O later and have longer cycles, i would start testing a few days later.
does this help?

Re: OPK/OPT
Hmm..so youre probably ovulating a little later than day 14.
if this is your first month i would start around day 10. just to get the feel of when you will get your surge. it may require another box of tests depending how many came in the box.
i use the Clear blue fertility monitor. its a bit of investment, but there's no guess work in reading OPKs with lines. I tried those one month and i couldnt figure this sh** out for nothing.
withthe monitor you start testing when the monitor prompts you (usually day 9 or 10 ) and test for 10-15 days..depending on your cycles and as it gets to know the testing time becomes shorter. it tests for LH and estrogen in combination giving you high and peak fertility days and you use it with First morning pee. So there are no 4 hour holds, testing in the afternoon. Do it first thing in the am and done.
www.amazon.com has it for a good price..and its Flex spending eligible if you have an FSA account through your health insurance.
