My family has been through hell and back and my Mom has been our rock. We are currently going through an incredibly painful time and I am astonished by her strength. She is amazing.

My mom deserves this locket because she is one amazing woman. she has been the one to take care of everyone and everything in our family as long as i can remember. she has been dealt a rough hand in her life and instead of breaking down, she always manages to keep her head up and soldier through. she's not only my mom, but my best friend. i've learned everything i know from her and i don't know what i would do without her.

My mother has been through so much in the past couple of years but always remains my family's rock. She drives me nuts sometimes but I love her and she deserves the world!!!!!!

My Mother is an amazing mom, but more importantly she is truely the best Nana my boys could have. She helps me with all aspects of their lives. She also has been a huge support system for my sister through the course of her getting pregnant.

Plain and simple, without my mom, we wouldn't be where we all are today!!!!

My mom is simply an Amazing , strong woman. She is a Breast Cancer survivor and I couldnt be any more proud of her. She is always there for me and my brother and is always there to help not only us but so many others. Her children have always come first. She is my mom but also my best friend. I dont know what I would do without her. She took care of us growng up being she was a single mom. and always made sure we would have a place to live and food on the table. My mom is a fighter and has always done for us and others and I can't truly thank her enough for all she has done for me, my daughter and my brother.

It was only as an adult did I learn what my mother has had to go through to keep us four kids happy, healthy, and to give us all that we need. Growing up, I had no clue, and she made sure of that. I cant give details, but she is now going through a nightmare that she cant wake up from, and I would love for her to win this...it would bring a smile to her face.

I wish I could nominate my mom, but she passed away. I would love for my MIL. We have had some rough times since my son was diagnosed with Autism, because she didnt and would not accept anything was wrong. After years of intervention, she saw the progression. Now she is his biggest advocate, next to me. She watches all these political debates and writes the names of people and writes letters to them about funding and more care for Autism. She is an amzing woman and deserves this locket

I want to nominate my grandmother. She is 97 years old and still one of the strongest woman I know. She raised 4 kids in a small coal mining town in PA with next to nothing. She help raised my sister and I when we lived with her for a short time.

She has been a rock in our family. And even with her old school strict Irish catholic beliefs she was open and accepting when one grandchild converted religions and another informed us he was gay. She is a true role model. She is 97 years old and still living on her own and is still sharp as a tack.

My mom is the most amazing mother out there. Growing up she took all my friends in and took care of them when needed. She was extremely giving and helped her community as much as possible. She showed me that in order to be happy you have to make others your priority. She is now turning 70 this summer and is not in the best of health, but she still tries her best to help others. She might not be in New York, but she is always with me emotionally, helping me remember just how strong she raised me to be. I cannot wait to give her a grandson in May!!

I want to nominate my sister. She been through alot the past few months trying to find a job and going through a divorce. But through it all she still amazes me of what a phenominal mother she is to her two gorgeous children. She also watches my two kids who adore her to no end. My mother passed away some time ago and I know she is soo proud of the woman my sister has become.

I would like to nominate the most amazing and selfless woman that I have ever known... my Mom.

She is a Mother to 3 and a Grandmother to 6 (soon to be 8) and she would do anything for any of us.

This Mother's day will be different for all of us, and that is why I feel like she deserves this locket. She was just diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer and will be starting Chemotherapy followed by 33 rounds of Radiation next week. She has remained the strongest out of all of us through this tough time and for that I will always be in awe of her.

I would LOVE to nominate my MIL. This women is the most amazing person and I'm so lucky to have her in my life. She's been by my side through good and bad. Doesn't take sides when it comes to my marriage. Gives the most amazing advice. And as a grandmother, I wouldn't know where to start. This women will drop everything for her grandkids. When my husband and I were going through financial problems, she took it upon herself and went to my kids school and paid the rest of their school tuition. She's not well off financially but the grandkids are her world and she would do anything for them. I'm so blessed to have such great support and can't thank her enough for everything she does for us.

I am nominating my Mommy; a woman who thinks of everyone else first before herself, even though she struggles daily with her own battle of multiple sclerosis and the progressive attack it has on her ability to be able to walk (something so many take for granted), relegating her to a walker most days and a wheelchair on others. Still, she manages to work when she can and help me out with the baby to the best of her capabilities, be it story time, feeding or just entertaining when I need a five minute break. She never complains either, even though I would never fault her if she did, and always has a smile on her face -especially when she sees her grandson, for whom she lives for. Through out my life she's been my rock, my safe haven, a person who gave unbiased advice whenever I called - even if it was three in the morning. I don't know where or who I would be without her.

Wow! Great contest...

Ok, its kind of hard to explain in words why my mom is so special especially without saying too many family secrets. I will say that my mom has dealt with so much between me and my dad and our relationship not being optimal and she wouldn't give up trying to make us smile and get along and to keep my little sister from hearing the fights and it worked! My dad and I came from the brink of disaster to a good solid relationship and it could not have been possible without my mom. She has given me (and our family) everything she could and more.

I'd actually like to nominate DHs Aunt. While her and I have a somewhat strained relationship, she has really stepped up to become a mother figure to DH whose mother passed away from breast cancer.

When we got married, she danced with him to Josh Groban's "You Lift Me Up" during the mother/son dance, and there wasn't a dry eye in the room. When we fell on hard times, she was there to give us a helping hand and get us to where we are now.

His mother's death took a toll on all of the family- especially her since they were sisters and only a year apart. It's been 4 years to the day since she passed away, and it never seems to get easier. I would love to thank her for all she has done for us by creating a memorial locket for her of her sister. She likes to collect everything and anything that involves the breast cancer ribbon, and it would be great to include the ribbon, their birthstones and the guardian angel wing. I know it would mean the world to her

I'd like to nominate my MIL. She has helped me through the loss of my Grandmother and My Mother.
She helps our family with taking care of our kids when needed.
She is just the sweetest, down to earth person you would ever meet. I really lucked out in the "inlaws department".

My mother is the most resilient, strong woman I know. She became a widower 1 year after she and my father relocated to Florida - away from their only child (me). It was also less than 6 months before my wedding. Since then, my introverted, somewhat scared, mother blossomed into the most unbelieveable woman I know. Tasked with taking over finances, keeping a house, and making friends (my mother had none when they moved there), she did everything with such grace and such determination. In October she became a grandmother for the first time, and I've never seen someone so excited and eager to fly up to visit (did I mention she used to be petrified of flying?). I would give anything to be with my mother on Mother's Day, but unfortunately, because of our distance I won't be able to do so.... This locket would be a great way to thank her for being beautiful, caring, and strong.

My mom deserves this. She is the most wonderful woman I know. We recently suffered the loss of my sister on Christmas day, my mothers first born child. It has been an incredibly heartbreaking time in our lives. My mom has been so strong and brave for everyone. She is such a wonderful person inside and out. I would love for her to win this. She is a wonderful grandmother to her three grandchildren (about to be four when my sister has her baby in May). She has shown me how to be a mother. My mom has become a friend and someone I can rely on for anything at anytime. She listens to my problems and lets me vent anytime I need her.

My mom deserves this locket because she is the strongest, most caring and selfless person I know. She was a very young mother and was divorced from my father when I was 2 and my brother was 4. She has worked her butt off as a bartender ever since then and although she doesn't have much, she would gladly give what she has to those in need. She supports her kids in all that we do, she helps my grandmother whenever she needs it and helps her brother who is suffering from cancer - all with a smile on her face. Everyone who knows her loves her and she truly deserves everything good in this world!

My mother deserves this locket because she is the most selfless, hard working woman I have ever met. she owns her own deli and wworks 60 plus hours a week. My father is a sixk man who she cares for when not at work. Last year within 6 months my father was in a coma, my grandmother (her mother whom she caared for for the past 10 years) passed away and my brother was diagnosed with testicular cancer. Through this all she still had to work. She works so hard and never receives much in return. I would love to see her face when she opens this necklace. She does so much for me and my kids, I would love to give her this in return.

My mother deserves this locket because she is a selfless mother and grandmother. Growing up we did not have a lot but my mother worked hard to make sure we had a wonderful childhood full of imagination. I got to see her strength when it came to fighting for my youngest brother, who has Autism. She made sure I was raised to be an independent woman. She is an amazing grandmother to my son and nephew. She has given me and my brothers so much and she deserves a special gift.

I am nominating my MIL - i could write a book of all the amazing things she does for everyone but it would take forever so to be short and sweet - i nominate her for being her - for making me feel like her daughter from the very begining and for never giving up on anything.. She is a strong, beautiful person inside and out and always puts others first!!!!!
