Ortho Tri Cyclen Low TMI ..
Ok ladies I called my dr and she is on vaca till wednesday so I need you guys. Background: I am awful with my pill , I always forget to take it, I am just plain old irresposible when it comes to my needs. So last month I missed my pill for like 3 days tried to play catch up and took 2 pills and then forgot it the next day played to catch up took 2 more pills etc (I am ridiculous, I know) bottom line i started spotting obv bc i messed up so badly and kept taking the pill thinking it would go away if i tried to plaay catch up ... now i have been spotting for 2 weeks (I have not had sex for 3 weeks) I stopped taking the pill around the 7th but never really got my period just spotting all week with some heavier times than others never really needed more than a pad last week and now I am barley spotting. I took 3 prego tests in the past 2 days and all negative . I am sure my body needs a break.. should i start my new pill pack or should i wait until i have real period?

I would stop taking the pill,don't start another pill pack, make an appt. w/your gyn. for when they return, and use an alternate method of BC to prevent pregnancy......HTH

i agree completly...playing catch up that many times not only screws up ur bod but at this point its not even worthy of the birth control part...so
i would wait completly until u get AF then start fresh..and as a tip--i was awful taking the pill until i set my cell alarm for 8pm everynite and it goes off and reminds me to take the pill..i havent missed one pill the last 5 months cause of that little reminder!

I tried the phone alarm but half the time my phone is in my bag on vibrate or dead or i just ignore it! It makes me so upset to write that bc it makes me feel so irresponsible and just plain old lazy which makes me sick.. i wish i cold just go off the pill all together bc i think its makes me nutz

Give yourself a month for your body to regulate... start up again in November. Keep a note attached to your bathroom mirror to remind you to take your pill OR leave your pill pack with your makeup and when you open the draw/bag that your makeup is in, you'll see the pill pack on top and you will remember to take the pill.

agreed. Also, for the first month back on the pill, i would def use a back up form of birth control.
Please try to find a sytem that works for you for remembering when to take it, or maybe switching your BC method to something less frequent... its not worth placing yourself at risk by throwing your hormonal balance alll out of whack.
