This brought tears to my eyes and a beautiful memory of my own coming to America story. I was adopted from Bogota, Colombia 32 years ago. I was raised in a beautiful and loving family. My mother journaled all her thoughts and feelings about the adoption priocess, me, coming home, and her most precious thoughts and feelings about finally becoming a mother. I still look at those letters she wrote to me and it makes me happy that I was chosen over all the other children.
Sofia is beautiful love her with all your heart and soul and enjoy. Congratulations!
Not flesh of my flesh, nor bone of my bone.
But, still miraculously, my own.
Never forget, for a single minute
You didn't grow under my heart, but in it.
I still carry this poem in my wallet to this day 32 years later.

this is the first time i ever looked at the adoption board and just happened to stumble upon your post. i just went thru your entire website and it literally brought me to tears. you and your DH are truly blessed...sophia is so beautiful! may God continue to bless you and your wonderful family!
