Re: Our pipes are frozen!!!
That happened to us about 3 years ago. Call a plumber who has a thingy that can heat up the pipe. It worked pretty quickly when we had it done.
Good Luck!

us too. I'm going to wrap the pipe and seal the basement window where the cold air was coming in.
I didn't call the plumber yet but last time this happened the pipe burst!

Re: Our pipes are frozen!!!
It happened to use today too. After we got it thawed (we used a small space heater for under the cabinet) a pipe burst . DH shut something off and the water stopped pouring out from under the cabinets and my sink and washer machine still work so I am not to concerned. We can't even get to the pipes because it it behind the cabinets in the wall which has a granite counter top so we would need to rip out the kitchen. I am thinking the copper line for the fridge is what burst or the one for the dishwasher.

Re: Our pipes are frozen!!!
US TOO! we have an extension that has a crawl space.. it was the bathroom in there. weird thing, the shower works, the toilet didn't and the hot water in the sink... these two are against the outside wall, the shower isn't.
i finally got my toilet working sometime in the middle of the night, but the hot water isn't working yet. DH was in the crawl space with a space heater, i guess the hot water pipe really got frozen?!?!
this is the first time this has happened to us in 5 years, in this house.

we insulated the pipes and sealed the window and stuffed insulation into the ceiling. It's an unfinished basement so there were lots of places that a draft could come from.
Water worked last night! Yay!
