Our shower was this weekend...Vendor Rave!
I didn't want the typical baby shower. To me this isn't just my baby - it is OUR baby. We decided to have a family shower - men, women & children. We also decided to have a BBQ shower with everyone at our home. It just was us - it was so right.
Thankfully Hurricane Bill & his rain stayed away! No showers at our shower!
Our cake & cookie favors were made by The Sugar Chic. I've had their cookies before - actually in January and have craved them ever since. I knew it was a must for our baby shower! Melissa & Dave are the sweetest people ever!
(Since I have GD, I ordered extra cookies & Melissa made a nice 6 inch cake for me to freeze for after birth - the 6 inch cake was even decorated so adorable!)
Our monkey cookie favors!
Our cake! - Almond cake, raspberry preserves & chocolate ganache! Oh Lordy! It was like a rainbow cookie!

Everything was so fabulous! The flowers were so stunningly gorgeous! Gina totally rocked it out. And that cake  It tasted just as good as it looked. And that monkey cookie was absolutely delicious! Such an awesome shower!

October 12th. Oh...trust me I wasn't letting the day go by without a piece of cake! (and penne ala vodka) I held out on the cookie...waiting for the right time to dig in!
I will say - I didn't test lunch & dinner numbers - but fasting the next day rocked - 87! I don't know how that happened! I think all the cheese I ate - cheese is my insulin.
