Re: overeating on weekends!
This is me!! It's terrible. It doesn't cause gain. It just keeps me the same. I KNOW if I stayed on track all 7 days, most of the time, I would probably be a lot closer to my goal.
It's just so difficult. Saturday night and Sunday kill me.
I've tried to stick with it and it actually causes fights with DH. He works 6 days a week, so for him, Saturday night is his night out without having to work the next day. Problem is he always wants to go to these places that I have zero willpower at. I can't watch him eat a big steak w mashed potatoes, while I eat a salad. I'd be a misery. So I get the same thing. Sunday, we usually have dinner with the inlaws and she makes a whole Italian spread. Not much choice in that one and plus, again... Willpower no loveeeeeeeeeeeee pasta. I cannot sit there with a grilled piece of chicken and broccoli while smelling that food.
The only time I have stuck to it all week was when I stayed in on a Saturday and stayed home Sunday!! Lol.
It's terrible

Re: overeating on weekends!
I have an unusual but effective way of handling this. I lost 100 pounds after giving birth to triplets three years ago (80 lbs baby weight, plus an extra 20). I've maintained within 5 lbs since. I am diligent about tracking everything I eat during the week but cant be bothered on weekends. What I have found is if I do an Atkins style low carb on weekends, I dont have to track and it didn't slow my weight loss. At a party for example i wouldn't have any bread, crackers pasta etc but would eat from the crudités, meat and cheese plate, nuts, and whatever other protein was available. as much as it took to feel satisfied. I also would do Greek yogurt for breakfast and egg white omelette for lunch to save room and calories for any evening event, in case I went off the rails. I stay away from cocktails and only have a little wine. White wine spritzers can keep the party going for longer. Also, look up the menu of any restaurant you go to and decide ahead of time what you are getting.
