Do you stay away from the malls during weekends?

I make it a habit to do any shopping I have to during the week to avoid the MOBS. Recently, I went on a Saturday and it was ridiculously packed.

I sometimes get a day off during the week b/c I work weekends so I go then. For those that work M-->F, how do you deal with the crowds?

Thankfully, I am off every Monday...so I tend to do most shopping (of any kind) then.

I am off evry other weekend...and I try desparately not to shop on those weekends. I find it frustrating to battle crowds for parking & waiting in lines.

Going anywhere in Garden City or Westbury on the weekends is enough to make me pull my hair out. During holiday time it is even worse.

I hate shopping for anything on the weekends! Going right after work is a must!

I hate crowds. I was at the mall today @ 10:15. Nordstroms was open early. It was great. By the time i left Nordstrom the mall was packed. I like to shop early on the weekends. I stay away from the mall totally during the holidays. I worked there during the holidays and it was miserable.

Yes unless I desperately need something. I also try to avoid the food stores as well.

I try to do all my shopping during the week in the evening.

yeah... we do try to avoid malls and stores on the weekends- at least for serious shopping. we usually go and just walk around, but definitely not to buy anything, because then we would have to wait in the lines...
when we buy stuff we usually go back during the week and get it, when its much less crazy!
ii'm a teacher and i LOVE my summers off for this exact reason! i get to shop to my hearts content without too many crowds

i take a day off to do dh's shopping. we do our holiday shopping right before thanksgiving. and we get an early start before the crowds start

YES! I hate the malls or any type of shopping on the weekends, especially around Christmas now...too crowded!!

I am a morning person, so when I go - I go when the stores first open. It's usually not too bad.

I would never go to the mall on a weekend here, where I live there are queues on the motorway 5-7 miles just to get into the mall...this starts around the end of October and runs into the middle of January. You have to wait by the exit of the parkway here for up to an hour just to get on the road that gets you into the mall, its like NOTHING you have ever seen before! And people come on big buses, like on tours just to come do their Christmas shopping, so you get day trippers on huge coaches! No sir, I will only go to the mall on a weekday!!!

Oh yeah I try to stay out of malls all together, I prefer smaller shops it keeps business on the towns. The malls are to packed I have no patience.

I can not go during the week so I when I go on the weekends, I try to go early.

I don't like it, but sometimes it's unavoidable. Roosevelt Field during holiday season makes me want to crawl in a shell and hide until after new years.

I go, but I get there early and usually leave by 12:00 noon or 1:00 at the latest. I generally avoid the whole Old Country Rd area - even the restaurants - around this time of year. The traffic aggrevates me way too much.

No, I will go to the mall on the weekend but I def. stay away from the during the HOLIDAYS!!

I try to stay away from the mall as much as possible - holidays or not

i refuse to go to the mall on the weekend.

i just did half of my christmas shopping---all online!

I detest going to the mall on the weekend. If I need to go, I'll go as soon as it opens. It's not as bad then.

I go after work on weeknights if I have to go.

if i have DH with me then yes i avoid the malls! but if it's just me i dont mind all the people.

but during the holidays, i avoid the mall entirely! it's a mad house!!! thats why i try to get my Christmas shopping done WAY in advance!

only during the holiday season. I hate shopping went it's a mad house. that to me is not fun.
