Owners of Shih Tzus - please come in
Does your dog groomer extract the hair in your dogs ears?
Is this something that only a vet is supposed to do?
My vet is telling me I need a new groomer bc they are not taking the hairs that grow inside their ear canal out, resulting in a bad ear infection (yeast).
The problem is there are not many good dog groomers near me.

I have a shih Tzu. Yes, my groomer does. I'm sorry about the infection.

I'm in Nassau. Sorry, but talk to your groomer and ask them to clean his ears properly. I hope your dog is doing better now.
My dog has a yeast infection last year in his left ear, we gave him medication. I will check the name tonight and get back to you.

I have a shih tzu. I honestly never noticed the groomer trimming the hair inside her ears. I do put these ear drops in her ears. They make her ears smell really good and knock wood, she's never had any problems. I got them at pecto.
