during the first two episodes, SO kept saying that he couldn't take Jason Bateman seriously... he's been convinced!

i was just talking about this with a co-worker and we had to whisper because there are two other people in the office who have just started watching and we didn't want to spoil it for them.

just know that it gets gooooooooood.

Ozark on Netflix

I watched the first episode and liked it, but I couldn't make it past the second episode. I was so enraged by the schlocky forshadowing of writing that I didn't feel like sticking it out. What annoyed me was when the family arrived in the Ozarks and had to stay at the hotel. Jason Bateman was telling his kids that the parents needed to run errands and the kid's only responsibility was to stay in the hotel room because all the money was there and they didn't want anything to happen to it. I immediately rolled my eyes, looked up spoilers for that episode and found out, yep - the kids didn't do what they were told and wackiness ensued.

I just can't handle another show with writers like that. I heard it was really good so maybe when I don't have anything else in my list I'll get around to it.

Yes, I have low attention span for shows and usually give up too, but I stuck it out and am halfway through now and it's getting better.

Maybe I'll give it another try once I'm done with Younger - which is my newest obsession since I never heard of the show until last week.

I haveto say it takes a lot for me to walk away from a show but I understand why you did. I stuck it out but really felt there was no reward. Jason Bateman (who i typically love) is trying to be Walter White but the problem is i just didnt care about him, his family, or anyone really in the show. They moved too quickly and you dont have a love for him as an anti hero like u did for WW who was legit dying of cancer. Anyway Laura Linney can do no wrong but over all this gets 2 stars from me!

Re: Ozark on Netflix

So I just finished it last night. We had been holding off on watching the last episode because we liked it so much we didn't want it to end. Chat Icon

Wow that last episode was a little nuts! Didn't see a lot of that coming! And the scene with the preachers baby in the lake made me sooooo nervous!

Anyway...is there going to be a second season, does anyone know?

I will watch anything with him in it. Total fan girl here.
He lived in my coworker's building for a short time while filming something here and he said he's a really nice guy, would chat with residents in common areas.

So he's hot AND kind.

DROOL.

And in one year I will forget everything. Again. My brain has too much going on to hold onto TV show plots for that long. Trying to watch the second season and we keep asking each other, what? Who is that? What was the story with this? Why are they doing that? It's so annoying

I would have forgotten too, however my boyfriend never saw season 1 so I watched it with him right before season 2 came out.
I didn't like Wendy at first but I am loving her character now. She's going to be a lot stronger than Marty I think.
