P/T jobs for extra Xmas money?
Can anyone suggest some places that would be good/easy P/T work that doesn't pay too bad? I also would only be able to work nights and weekends. I'm looking for something temporary for a couple of months for Xmas spending money. I already work FT and have 2 boys. I know I'm in NC, but any ideas would be helpful. Thanks!

I don't know if they are hiring right now, but DH and I have done seasonal work for the Gap.
It paid $10/hr but the discount was AWESOME. We always did all of our shopping.
We worked FT at the time too, but no kids.

Re: P/T jobs for extra Xmas money?
I worked at JCPenney one time as a seasonal employee and made some really good money. I mad a base hourly rate somewhere between 7 and 8 dollars and then 5% commission on every piece of jewelry I sold. And during the holiday season jewelry sells like hotcakes. This was back in 2001 I think though, so I don't know if it's still structured that way. I wish my back could handle the standing for hours on end so I could do it again.

Most places look for seasonal help, and as Kate mentioned - you also get discounts, so try getting something at a place you wanted to buy Xmas presents anyway... My friend worked at the Gap and got 40% off discounts - also I know Barnes and noble always hire seasonal help and they have toys, books, etc...
Good luck!
Someone also posted something from simon Mall a while ago - where you can be a guide or a greeter or something - also malls do gift wrapping and maybe you can do that but i think they work for fund raising organizations but its worth a shot - working at a mall and getting discounts would definitely be the best for Xmas shopping!

ITA with the other ladies....ANY retail store during the holidays will welcome extra PT help...especially at nights, restocking, etc.
I used to own a retail store and would gladly welcome the extra PT help when I could get it during the holidays!
