pack-n-play mattress
anyone buy a separate mattress for their pack-n-play? we are going to be taking a trip to Pittsburgh and taking our pack-n-play with us, and I want to find a mattress for it, but don't even know where to begin.
DD will be about 8 months when we go, so no bed sleeping, and the hotel offers pack-n-plays not cribs for babies, so I would rather bring my own.
Any suggestions on something else to get/bring for sleeping I will take as well!

Re: pack-n-play mattress
I have only seen the fold up type mattress that is in the bassinet part of the PNP. It is not a true mattress and is very thin. How long is your trip? Do you think that DD will be ok to just sleep in the PNP without a mattress if it is a short stay? If not, I believe that porta-crib mattresses would fit in a PNP. Check this out... HTH!

Re: pack-n-play mattress
yes, they sell a mattress at BRU - it is the BEST $20 I ever spent.....it is much thicker than the "mat" that comes with the PNP
They call it a porta crib mattress at BRU

Re: pack-n-play mattress
we are going for 4 days. we have that, and it is so thin. We took it to our in-laws for christmas and DD barely napped in it. she didn't do well. It could have been a combination of things (new place and not her crib) but, needless to say, she didn't nap well. I can't even imagine what sleeping in it would have been.
Thanks for the info!

Re: pack-n-play mattress
