Pain in back behind left hip?
Anyone experience this before? I didn't do anything strenous I was just bending down putting laundry in the dryer and I got up and was like WHOA! Every blue moon I get a pain in my epidoral sight for a few minutes but it goes away. This pain is in a totally different spot and has lasted since last evening. I had some burning yesterday after urinating but it only happened once around 10 am, nothing the rest of the day.
DH is scaring me by looking on WebMD, I can have anything from a miscarriage to early cancer signs.
I phoned my Dr. at 9:15 to get an appt. I'm waiting for a return call still
Any opinions?

I have had a pain the last few days in the area of my left hip going towards my butt cheek. It feels like a pulled muscle..its not going down my leg so I don't think its my sciatic nerve.
I can't picture where you mean when you say behind your hip.

The sciatic nerve runs through your pelvic/hip bones...so it might be that.

I can't picture where you mean when you say behind your hip.
sorry for being so vague, the pain's not in my butt cheek, it's higher like where you'd get those bubbles of fat on your hips.

That is where my sciatica started...felt like a pulled muscle at first. Try cold packs on the area to numb it, that might help a little to get any swelling down.

I had something similar and asked my doctor about it. She said that hip pain is very normal during pregnancy. It can be due to the extra weight I'm carrying. It was painful for a while, but my pain went away. I hope yours does too.

that's exactly it! I went to the Dr. and that's what she said it was. I thought heat was better than ice?
