Pain in my abdomen - sorry, kinda long and stupid
Wondering if anyone else has had this. I did ask my doctor about it last time I saw her and she said it wasn't anything to worry about, but I feel like it keeps getting more painful and lasting for longer.
Anyway, it's this sharp kind of pain, almost like a stitch in your side - it feels like someone is pinching me really hard in one small spot. It seems to always be in the same place - about an inch above and and inch to the right of my belly button.
I thought it seemed at first to come on when I was walking a lot - but I keep getting it sitting here at my desk or driving in to work or any time now.
Sometimes it lasts for a long time - an hour or so - other times just a few minutes.
The Dr. said something about the stretching and all going on, but is it weird that I don't have to do anything for it to be there and it's always in the same spot?

how far along are you? it sounds like round ligament pain.

OMG Pam...I had the same pain a few days ago (these kids MUST be related ;), I actually was nervous..It felt like round lig. pain but was too high...I had it for over an hour, went away, came back that night & was uncomfortable most of the night. It went away for the most part the next day...I do think it was some sort of uterine stretching going on.
If it continues though bring it up to the Dr again.

Maybe speak to your doctor again if it will make you feel better and ask the Dr. to explain what the different possibilities are.

Thanks for the responses everyone.
Yeah, I feel like it must be some sort of ligament typre pain, but sounds too far up for round ligament pain - and when I looked it up it didn't sound like contractions at all.
Oh well, I go again in two weeks. If it gets much worse I'll call, otherwise I'll just wait till then.
Sorry you are having the same thing Andrea - but it does make me feel less crazy to know I'm not the only one!
