Paint a smile on my face and call me happy
So, I had a slight breakdown this morning on how DH isn't taking the baby coming seriously.
Other then some clothes, stroller and carseat...we have nothing.
I did not want to pressure him, but now that we are in the new apt, I did not know why we weren't doing things.
So...this morning, he breaks down, says he can't take it anymore. Cousins are coming down for thanksgiving, going to babies r us here and buying everything to throw me a shower. That's why everyone was telling me not to worry, yet nothing was moving off my registry
So that makes the shower 3 weeks before my due date...living in a state solo. Of course I was going to wonder.

Re: Paint a smile on my face and call me happy
Everything will work out. I had a breakdown and my mom moved my shower up by a week. Then I had the shower, put the WHOLE room together in one night (yes, I was up until 2:00), then I washed all his 0-3 clothes the very next day.
that was 4 weeks ago and now I feel like crying of frustration every time I walk through his room because he's not in it yet.
so, look at it this way. At least it will keep you busy when you are in the very difficult last couple of weeks.

thanks! I was trying to take a step back from my normal controlling self, and let things happen. At 32 weeks though, absolutely no plan for a nursery..I was trying to ignore reaching my boiling point, but it came.

totally. I never expected anyone to give me a shower, I was okay buying things...I completely budgeted for it.
Then the calls started not to buy anything. I did not want for someone to do something nice like send me a crib and I had already bought one myself.
DH is a worrywart...I was shocked he was so cool about the whole not buying for baby thing. I knew it had to be a front.
