Paint Color for Bedroom
DH is going to kill me. We just had our house professionally painted when we moved in ... BUT.....I'm totally regretting our Master BR color. I posted about this a while ago inquiring if I should repaint or just re-accessorize(is that a word??!?!?! LOL).
ANYHOO.... I just can't live with the bright blue that is my bedroom. I think the color I want is a Purple/Brown-ISH color. Not really a plum.... does anyone know what color i'm looking for?
I know i've seen it before but I can't explain it.
Sorry...I am a looney bird.
ETA: if you have any pics with the color name, that would be super helpful. XOXO THANKS!!!!

I don't have a color but I understand how frustrating it is to know what you want and not be able to find it! Good luck!!!!!!

Re: Paint Color for Bedroom
THANK YOU for your understanding :o) I am terrible at making decisions and decorating. I know what i'm looking for, but pulling it all together is just a huge issue for me. I love the color blue but the color that I wanted was more of a slate/grey color and that's not how it turned out. If I try to explain to DH that I want to repaint our blue room to a blue room...he will strangle me LOL Better to just tell him that it wasn't what I expected. Oh well....i want an earthy color. Something stormy?? Who knows...I stink!

Re: Paint Color for Bedroom
I think I know what kind of color you are talking about, but I'm not 100% sure. Check out Valspar.com Valspar really has great colors. If you want to use BM paint, they can color match Valspar paints. I would go to Lowe's and check out the color chips in person. They have all different palettes of colors. You will see them at the bottom of the link I posted here. GL!

Re: Paint Color for Bedroom
Check out "Sweet Bark" under Earth Elements palette. Is that too dark? Or "Standing Rock" which is a little lighter, under Earth Elements.
Under Seaside Retreat, look for "Cherry Chocolate".
Hope those help!

Re: Paint Color for Bedroom
I just sent my bro some paint colors for his kitchen - all from Sherwin Williams.
Blackberry
Cordovan
Quixotic Plum
I think Cordovan has the most brown in it (just out of these three).

Re: Paint Color for Bedroom
Hmmm. I think it's a mix of the blackberry and cordovan....I'm going to check out those Valspar colors above, t hank you!! I am partial to BM so i'll see if they can color match.
Does anyone have rooms in this color that they can show me a pic? I feel like a set up room shows me so much more than just a color bc I have ZERO imagination.
I'm sorry, like I said, i'm a pain
