painted door shut!
My new brilliant landlord painted our bdrm closet door...then closed it! We cant open it nor could anyone else. Does anyone have any suggestions before I break it?

Try a razor blade or if there are those things on the outside of the door that pop up by hitting a hammer underneath them, that might work. It would depend upon the kind of door. Do you have a photo?

Found this online:
Cut the paint with a window zipper (tool designed just for this purpose) or a putty knife. Hold blade flat against the sash and push the edge into the joint while drawing the tool along the surface.
OR give the door a good old smack while turning the door knob
