cotton all the way...
except for special nights!! (silky)  
and during winter months......FLANNEL, nice and warm!!!!!

I don't really get the appeal of silky/satin. They look very nice but they don't seem like they'd be comfortable. And what if you also sleep on satin sheets? You'd slide all over the place?
I got a pair of flannel ones from Victoria's Secret and I LOVE them. I really think I sleep better in them.

I was always a cotton/flannel chick - but this past year bought some silky pjs that I like to wear...has nothing to do with "special nights" since dh doesn't care either way.
