Pampers or Huggies???

I decided to add diapers on my registry.

Which one is better?

Pampers or Huggies? I wanted to register for size 1 and 2.

ETA: I am having a little boy if that makes a difference.

I prefer Pampers Swaddlers - she leaked through the Huggies....but every baby is different.

So it is a bad idea to register for diapers since they may not "fit" the baby properly later on?

I use pampers swaddlers... I have since DS was born they are great... I have tried LUVS they work great for boy.

I would put the diapers on - I did and a few people got them for me. I did a bunch of different sizes so maybe do some of each.

I like the Pampers swaddlers, but the size 3 and up werent in that same material.
I now like and prefer Huggies Lock gurad....NEVER had a leak since

Def a pampers mom here. They are more stretchy and didn't fit DD very well and also the huggies gave her rashes.

I also had issues with little gel balls from the diaper sticking to her coolie. She gets bad rashes from huggies, zero from pampers swaddlers/cruisers.

I used pampers swaddlers at the beginning but now use huggies. Didnt have a problem with either one.

I liked the swaddlers for when they are young....for some reason the cruisers and baby dry I can smell when she is wet SO much easier now.

Huggies, I like the Supreme ones, in the red pack, not the red & white pack (the gel that holds the wetness would ball up on her skin)

Pampers Swaddlers/Cruisers work great. My DD would always leak out of Huggies.

Pampers swaddlers in the beginning, then Luvs.

He was allergic to Huggies. And is now allergic to Pampers and Huggies.

I recommend registering for one package in each size. This way you have them if you need them in a pinch or when you think he needs to go up a size, you can use the package as a guide (does that make sense?).

I don't recommend registering for a lot. My DS was born at over 9 1/2 lbs and I had 3 packages of NBs that never fit him. And, stupid me opened them

Pampers swaddlers is was I used the first couple of weeks and that's what they used in the hospital. Now I use Luvs and wow do those suckers hold a lot of liquid! Haven't had a leak yet. And they are pretty inexpensive.

Pampers Swaddlers then Pampers Cruisers. He always leaked through Huggies for me.

I would try both because every baby is different. Also, depending on the size of your baby make sure you register for Newborn size (the ones that say UP TO 10 lbs.), not just 1 and 2. DS was so small that he is still in that size and just starting to fit in NB size 8-10 lbs. and he is 5 weeks old already!

I use pampers. I got a few packs of huggies which were fine, but I liike the pampers better.

Same here!!! I used Pampers Swaddlers 0-2, now I use Pampers Cruisers 3.

I didnt like the other brands!

I used huggies when Jared was little and then I switched to Pampers later on.

Pampers Swaddlers were perfect when he was an infant. Now we use Huggies (because I buy the huge box in Costco) and they're fine. We have the occasional leak, but so does everyone else, regardless of what brand you use.

ETS- definitely register for the Newborn size of Pampers. They fit great and the ones won't fit for a while.

I like the Pampers - but at 4 weeks, and Cailen probably close to 8 lbs, the size 1 still take up half of his body! You should also make sure to get at least one package of newborn diapers!

We use pampers. I had a few leakage issues with Huggies.
