Re: Pancakes and french toast?
as much as they want? I always make sure he first finishes whatever he wants from the bottle. That's his nutrition. Then usually within an hour, offer solids, and give whatever he's in the mood for. DS regulates himself really well. I never followed any guides for the purees I just give what he wants, I try to make more that he usually takes just in case he wants more, but there are usually a lot of leftovers (which I eat )

Re: Pancakes and french toast?
DS will eat 1/2 of a small pancake when I make them myself. Its a little bigger than a silver dollar size. It seems sooo much less than the purees and cereal but I make sure he drinks at least a 6oz bottle, lately he's been taking 8oz.
ETA: I made him a scrambled egg yolk cheese omelet and he ate 1/2 that too.

Re: Pancakes and french toast?
DS is also 9 months. We give him 2 mini pancakes at a time. Haven't tried french toast or grilled cheese yet.

Re: Pancakes and french toast?
I make the pancakes so it's usually about 1/2 of a regular sized adult one. French toast she'll eat a whole one but I take off all the crust. Grilled cheese - I make it with just one piece of bread and onel slice of cheese. I leave it open and not folded in half. She used to eat about 3/4 of it but now she eats the whole thing - but I do take the crust off of this as well. She's a little over 10 months now. I try not to give too much because I still give her diced up fruit on the side too.

Re: Pancakes and french toast?
When DS was 9 months, I offered 2 mini pancakes PLUS about a 1/4 cup of fresh cut fruit, maybe more. I would also try an egg yolk, scrambled. He'd eat it all.
Now he's 11 months and I feed almost the same, but 3 mini pancakes and a 1/3 cup of fruit, sometimes more.
Today he ate 3 mini pancakes, a whole banana, 1/2 of a plum, and a whole egg, scrambled with cheese. Piggy....
As far as grilled cheese goes, I put chopped veggies between 2 slices of cheese. He eats 1/2 of a sandwich on whole wheat bread PLUS 1/3 cup of cut up fruit.

Re: Pancakes and french toast?
Thank you everyone..very helpful. DS is having apples, banannas, 4 mini pancakes, right now..so I guess he is eating enough :)
The thing I am lost on is, is eggs are on my peds no list, along with strawberries and honey, and peanuts..but I know so many who give it...why did the ped say this? High allergen food???

I keep forgetting to ask my ped about this too, and I wonder if they don't care anymore, because he gave DS the flu shot with no hesitation (flu shot has egg protein in it)
IDK, but I would like to know too
