I have had 2 of them done. The last one was uncomfortable since I am 8 months but the first one wasn't so bad since i was only like 6 weeks at the time.

I had one at 11 weeks and it was fine. I bled a lot but the doctor had warned me that bleeding was possible becasue of the increase in blood flow and because the cervix would be very sensitive at this point. The bleeding was more than she expected, and bright red, so much so that she double checked me to make sure everything was fine and it was. I'm 21 weeks now.

yes, they usually do this at your first OB visit just to make sure everything is okay. This one is usually around 8 weeks. then they do another one late in the third trimester to test for Strep.

I had one around 22 or 24 weeks. No big deal. It didnt feel any different than when I had them in the past and wasn't pregnant.

I had the same done last pregnancy and had 1 in the beginning with this pregnancy. I bled slightly after.
