Paranormal Activity....is it really that scary???
Its on IO now and I want to see it so bad but some people said it wasnt that scary....

it entirely depends on how you handle BOO, what the hel* was that movies....
dave found it creepy and disturbing a little (and NOTHING normally weirds him out) - and my friend who he went to see it with had a problem sleeping alone in her home that night.
my dad on the other hand - hated it - didn't think it was creepy at all.

I agree. I dont' get creeped out or scared by ghosts, demons etc.
I get more scared of movies with serial killers, ax murders, home invaders- stuff like that that can ACTUALLY happen.
I found this movie laughable and was actually laughing at certain ridiculous scenes in it.

I didn't even jump at the 'boo' parts, since you could tell that they were coming.
Maybe its because it was worked up to be 'so good and scary' that I didn't think it was either.

I agree. I normally can NOT do scary movies - none. My DH didn't let me watch it for months because he knew we'd end up sleeping with the tv on for a week. But nope, I was fine.

It's not terrifying. But afterward, weeks later, I still find myself kind of freaking out when I hear weird sounds in my house at night. It has a lingering effect on me.

Honestly 95% of the movie is extremely boring! I kept falling asleep and DH had to keep poking me. Honestly the scariest parts are at the last 15 minutes.

Jen SOOOO funny we almost watched this last night and I watched the trailer and couldn't do it. I'm a scaredy cat. I get freaked out about that stuff. I'm still convinced my bedroom growing up was haunted. I wish this came up today!! Did you see it?

I saw the remake a few years ago- not as scary as the original
