Parenting: The early years.
The magazine. I have been getting it since Liam was born. I have no idea why or how I got it. I just assumed it was one of those freebies full of ads or something.
Anyway. I actually like it. Then I get a letter saying my subscription is ending?? I didn't know I had a subscription..
Did someone get me one as a gift and I didn't know it.. or is this some kind of gimic? Has this happened to anyone else with this mag?

Did you ever shop in Destination Maternity or Motherhood or any of those shops? They sign you up (I think) when you shop there. Annoying!

Yes this happened to me....they charged me $10 a year for it & $10 for Parenting. I called & cancelled. It was through Destination Maternity....annoying. I looked back & sure enough they did charge my card.

I always wondered why I got it. Just read my May issue today on the train. Hmmm, now i'm wondering if I got charged. I really like it though.

So you are saying I may have paid for this mystery subscription??? GRRRRRR.. oh well. I really liked it.
DH just told me not to get it again because he can get it for free at work. He works at an ad agency and they tons of mags that they just put in a huge bin and they are up for grabs... The parenting mags are not a hot item!

Exact same thing here! And just got my notice that it is ending! I think I am going to renew for a year....for $10, it's worth it!

I love this magazine! At Destination Maternity, they ask you if you would like to sign up for a FREE subscription for X amount of months and then when that is done they will bill your card if you don't discontinue it.

Yep..its through motherhood or destination maternity. Even when i clicked no on the sign pad when they offer it to you, i still got it. I cancelled it and then ordered it for $9.99 through another magazine service i use.
check your cc: statements b/c you've probably been billed for it.
