parents of children with down syndrome..
I had my afp test on monday. It came back with a high probability of downs syndrome. I do not fit any of the high risk areas though, did you?
Also, I am trying to prepare myself for this, I will not undergo further invasive tests, I will love my child regardless and it will only make our family stronger. I just need to know the challengesI need to look forward too. Thanks! feel free to fm if you dont want to write it here.

Don't have a child with downs want to say the tests are not 100% accurate. God gives us what we can handle.

my test came back there will be a 1 and 213 chances of me having a child with down syndrome. I did the amino and my daughter was fine eventhough she was born at 29 weeks and 5 days.

My DD was born with Down Syndrome!
Feel free to FM me with any questions you may have!
My AFP came back with at 1:95 risk.
Every sonogram showed a bright spot on her heart (this is usually a calcium deposit in most cases, but, also a soft marker for Ds).
My DD just turned 2 and is doing great! 
**I did have an amnio because I was on hospital bed rest and wanted answers**.
