My daughter had cronic fluid in her ears..it never affected her sleeping. She had surgery yesterday and they put tubes in...She is a much happier child now and i see her changing so much.

My pediatrician and ENT both said that getting the fluid out of the ears would make my son sleep better. However, my son had a chronic ear infection and tons of fluid for about 5 months straight, and yet he was still always a good sleeper (at night only...he won't nap for me during the day). He got tubes last month and his ears are finally clear, however, his sleeping is still the same (i.e., good). A friend of ours has a son who has always been a terrible sleeper. He had ear problems too, and after tubes, he is still a terrible sleeper. Go figure.
