Parents, inlaws, close family watching your DC

I'm just wondering if I am alone here. my Inlaws have been watching DS for me the past month while I work FT. I sometimes feel like they look at him as thier own child, its a very strong kind of attachment. Anyway, today we went out to brunch with ALL of our family about 15 ppl all together. Every freaking time I turned around somehow my Inlaws have wrestled the baby away from whoever was holding him 2 seconds ago. I had to fight to get him back! I feel like they are total baby hoggers esp bc they see him ALL week, and the rest of the family doesn't see him that much. Anyone else dealing with this type of thing?

:sigh:

My Il's don't watch DD all week, but my MIL is a definite baby hog.

But my mom is too.

Well, my mom never took care of my daughter, but she still wrestled her away from anyone else that wanted to hold her. And now that my sister has a baby, my mom's a baby hog with him, too. I wouldn't worry too much. Be grateful that you have people who love him so much to care for him during the day. I mean, I am SURE you are grateful, but try to not be mad at them, they mean well. My inlaws never wanted anything to do with my daughter, so we had the opposite problemChat Icon

I feel for you. While I am not in this position, I know mine would do this if in the position. That's why I stay at a distance from them b/c that would drive me insane.Chat Icon
