Paris/Athens Travel Guides

Anyone know of a good guide book or have one they like?? I figure I need to get a couple of books since I want to pack in a ton of sightseeing into my trip... I can do the research, but I figure getting a book that I can just take with me instead of printing stuff out would be best...

Thanks!

I love Frommer's books - I always buy one when I'm planning a trip. They also have little pocket guides which are great for bringing along on the trip.

Eyewitness Travel Guides

They have TONS of pictures and are very informative for sighseeing.

Frommers is great for restaurants and hotels, etc.

The above suggestions are great - but I have one more to add. Don't substitude this for the others, but I would definitely pick it up as an extra:

"The Unofficial Guide" to whereever are great books. Search Amazon for whichever ones you need. They have "The Unofficial Guide to Paris", for example.

These books are great because they're written by people who have travelled to where you're going and give you more realistic opinions of what to do/what not to how/how to do it. It's not meant to gear you towards whoever sponsored one of the bigger named books (like favoring a certain restaurant or whatever).

Keep it in mind. It came in handy for Disney and for Hawaii.....I would pick it up for Europe if I was going! Chat Icon
