Parking for LIRR - Lynbrook, Baldwin, Freeport
How is parking near any of these stations?
I have an interview in Manhattan but I don't want to waste a sick day at work, so I am going in and leaving early.
I have about 30-40 minutes to get to one of these stations from my job, which is possible if there isn't road work!
I don't know how parking is (free, permit etc).
Any info?

There is pay parking under the trestle at Lynbrook, it's $4/day. You'll need to get there fairly early to get a spot.
Valley Stream also has metered (12 hour) parking. You'll need lots of quarters but there are generally more spots there than in Lynbrook these days.
Good luck on the interview!

I wouldn't try to go out of Lynbrook. My office used to be right by the train station and there's not much parking at all for commuters. I don't know a lot about the Freeport station, but Baldwin, worse case scenario it looks like you can park far away in the lot and just walk.

Lynbrook would be the worst for parking. Freeport is probably the best, there is a huge lot and I never see it to capacity. I just don't know if you need a sticker or if there are any parking fees.

Baldwin parking is free and plentiful as long as you get there before 7:45-8 am..past 8 am you will have to park under the LIRR overpass on Brookside Ave (across from Freeport HS) and walk across 2 parking lots to reach the ticket booth and station.

Baldwin parking is free.. and only plentiful if you are there early.
You can also park on Brooklyn Ave, which is West of the Baldwin train station. I park there every morning at 8:15.
You should leave 10 minutes to get to the station from your car
