Parking or transportation to LGA
I need help. I booked a flight out of LGA instead of JFK because it was much cheaper. I have never flown out of LGA so I didnt think about the fact that I wont be able to take the airtrain. I was looking up pricing for parking and now it looks like I'm going to end up spending the same if not more w/having to pay to park for 4 days. Does anyone know of cheap parking in the area or any other alternative. I would be coming from the Huntington area so a cab would be crazy expensive Im sure and I def can not find a ride. Any suggestions?

Maybe take the LIRR to Jamaica or Penn and then take a cab to Laguardia?
If u do that on the return trip, make sure your cab driver knows how to get to Jamaica. Ours didn't and wound up dropping us off several blocks from Jamaica, in a bad area.

You can take LIRR to Jamaica then take the E to Roosevelt Avenue. From there you can take a bus to the airport.

I would take the LIRR all the way to Woodside then hop a cab. It shouldn't be more then a $10-15 ride from the Woodside station to LGA.

I park at Avistar when I fly out of LGA. It's around $17 per day - parking around there is ridiculous.

Also - try Supershuttle.
www.supershuttle.com
It might work out cheaper than $17 a day.

Thanks for all the help! I checked into all the suggestions and I think Im going to take the train to Woodside and then take a cab the rest of the way... seems to be the most cost effective w/o a huge hassle. If anyone thinks of anything else you can keep the suggestions coming, thanks again!

I always use Avistar.
You bring your car there. They park it for you. Drop you off at your terminal with their shuttle. And pick you up when you get back and have your car waiting for you.
Look for coupons online.
