party for two kids different ages invitation wording
i wanted to throw a party for my almost 5 and 7 year old kids. what is a good way to write the invitaiton - also saying something about only having to bring a girft for thier friend... (they are each inviting thier own friends) and then we are inviting family. do i need to make three differnt invitianos, one for family, one for my 7yo friends, and one for my 5 yo friends?

Re: party for two kids different ages invitation wording
I had a joint party last year. I did separate invitations for people who knew both kids and a single invitation for classmates.
For the joint invitation, I had:
Double the Joy, Double the Fun, two birthdays to celebrate instead of just one! Join us for B's 1st and W's 3rd Seusstastical Birthday Celebration!
Next year, I plan to have another joint birthday party. I am doing only one invitation this time and putting both names on it. I will not mention gifts on the invite. Most classmates and all our friends know our kids are born a day apart and know the kids. They can bring 0, 1 or 2 gifts. I believe it is poor etiquette to mention gifts on an invitation.
We've been invited to joint parties for classmates where we only know 1 kid. I always bring a small gift for the sibling's birthday.

I agree with writing something about gifts- I feel it's kind of tacky - I love the saying- I just don't want to do three invites :)
