Pastina Questions
I wanted to try some pastina with my 9 month old DD. I just had some questions.
1. Is this an appropriate age?
2. What do you do with the pastina? Cook and serve just like that, or mix with other food?
3. Do you make it as needed for meals. Or do you make a bigger batch and put it in the fridge for multiple meals?

Re: Pastina Questions
I started at that age but put a half of a veg bullion cube in the water for some added flavor. Sydnie loves it! My mom now makes it for her egg drop style too which I think is but Sydnie likes it and it adds protein.

Re: Pastina Questions
DD is 7 1/2 months old and our Doctor said she could have it so we just make it with a little dash of butter and she loved it. I make a little at a time really just for the feeding.

Re: Pastina Questions
I gave it to my DC around 9 months too and I just made it plain. I use to make enough for 2 days.

Re: Pastina Questions
Yup that's a fine age. I cooked it with chicken broth and sometimes added parm cheese and butter. I would make enough with the broth for the week and put it in the fridge. Then when I was packing up his meals I would add a bit of butter and cheese and daycare would heat it up and mix it up. He loved it.

Re: Pastina Questions
I make it for a few nights. Sometimes I use chicken stock, cut up broccoli, carrots, yellow squash and cook it w/ the pastina. or butter and american cheese as well.
