peanut butter recall

Maybe a live under a rock, but I just heard that a lot of peanut butter products have been recalled bc of salmonella poisoning. I couldn't find a list of what products, though. Does anyone know what is affected by the recall? Of course, I haven't had peanut butter in weeks, and I pick today to make myself a PBJ!

Here is current info about the recall.


I believe it is the King Nut brand that is specifically recalling their product

Peanut Butter


But people are also being warned to stay away from cookes, crackers and ice cream with peanut butter in it.

go to news 12 - they just had a big segment about it. They say they have a list on their website of food that is affected by this.

Stay..this was a recall in 2007!

Its not any specific brands of PB, its things with peanut butter in them...one thing that I saw was the peanut butter crackers that come in the packs for 4 with the orange crackers...

But, as an aside, the day before the recall, DH and I ate Turkey Hill chocolate and peanut butter stripe ice cream ,and we both got a few consequences from it... so I'd be careful on all peanut butter paste products. Jarred peanut butter should be OK.

hmmmmmm....yesterday one of my students felt sick to her stomach after lunch. i asked what she had and she said PB&J. I figured that was fine and she must have been coming down with something. i wonder...
