Pediatric Opthamologist - need recommendation
Hi There,
I am in Coram/Port Jeff area and looking for an ophthalmologist to bring my DS too. He is just 9 months, but I do notice one of his eyes still crosses often enough for me to have concern about it.
Pediatrician's office gave me 2 names.
Dr. Cossari
Dr. Marmor/Dr. Roberts
Anyone have opinions about these two and/or a recommendation for someone else?

Pediatric Opthamologist - need recommendation
I go to Dr. Levi, who is in Dr Marmor/Roberts office. I like them there. Very friendly and attentive to the kids.We have been seen by them since DS was born, he is 2 now. And he has glasses for the past year.

its a trip but I 100% recommend Dr. Strome and Dr. Pinchoff in Great Neck. My DD is 9 months and at 4 months was diagnosed with something called Duane Syndrome and Dr. Strome has been amazing!

I also take my DD to Dr. Levi. She has been going since she was 10 months old and is now 2.5. I noticed drifting in one of her eyes. We have been patching her eye since April because it did not improve on its own.

We used Dr Cossari for Dd who had a clogged tear duct and he did her surgery.
I really liked him, but he is straight to the point (which I like). DD was screaming bloody murder during the exam, and he briefly tried to calm her, but when he saw there was no way, he told me to just hold her and he did what he needed to do and was done. Then Dh took DD back to the kids waiting area to play, and I talked to him.
Some people on here didn't like his bedside manner, but I had a good experience. We don't need a Dr to coddle us.
ETA: He seemed to really know his stuff and has clearly been practicing for years, which I liked!

My son sees Dr Levi also and we really like her. We've been going since my son was 2 months old and now he's 3 1/2 and has been wearing glasses for 2 years. She's very thorough and child friendly!

Thanks so much! I think I will give Dr. Levi a call. I'd rather work on a fix now if its needed than wait.

We saw Dr. Koty for DD's lazy eye, and he was wonderful!!!! He is in the same office as Marmor and Roberts

Pediatric Opthamologist - need recommendation
Went to Dr. Cossari - he gave us a wrong prescription and $250 later, we switched to Dr. Marmor/ dr. Levi.
We are pretty happy with them, but usually we have to wait a few weeks before they can see us.

Dr. Strome was my eye doctor from the time I was 2 until I was too old to see him. He did my eye surgery for strabismus when I was 16 (I'm now 35). He is amazing!

Love, love, love Dr. Marmor. Not the "warmest" bedside manner, especially in the office. My DD had strabismus corrected surgically by him, and in the hospital he was AMAZING!!! I totally recommend him to anybody who asks!!

We see the same dr he saw them in the NICU to determine eye development so we just continued with the group. My step daughter sees Dr. Mamor in the same group
