pediatrician - questions
I have scheduled consultations with few doctors in my neighborhood. Do you think they will charge me or my insurance company for visits? I didn't think so, but a friend of mine had to pay.
Also neither doctor is affiliated with the hospital I'm going to deliver at. Do I need to find someone who is and can check on my baby after delivery? I really wouldn't want to look for a pediatrician just for one hospital checkup.

I went on two consults and neither doctor charged us. The doctor I chose is not affliated with the hospital I am delivering at, they have a on staff Ped check on the baby in the hospital but your ped. will want to see the baby within a couple of days of delivering

I went to 2 consultations - no one charged. As for the peditrician in the hospital - my OB just used his own kids' pediatrician and they checked on the boys. Usually they'll produce a report w/ vital info for you to give your actual chosen doctor.
